August 15, 2012 (YARMOUTH) _ A South Yarmouth man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened to stab his girlfriend.

Yarmouth police responded to 16-b Gardiner Ln. in South Yarmouth just after 8 pm Tuesday night for a reported domestic attack in progress.

Timeo Pina, 42, who has 64 prior criminal charges in massachusetts, fled before officers arrived. 

A short time later he called the alleged victim and said he wanted to be shot by police in a so-called “suicide by cop.”

Police were able to track his cell phone and found him a short distance away. he was held overnight by Yarmouth police.
