Tribe: Yearly revenue from casino would top $551 million
July 24, 2012 (MASHPEE) The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe projects the initial revenue for its planned casino in Taunton to be $511.8 million per year.
An Environmental Notification Form filed July 2 contains the figures. Governor Deval Patrick signed a gaming compact on July 12.
It's been approved by thte house and awats action in the state senate. The tribe is also working through the process of getting land in taunton and Mashpee taken into federal trust.
