January 18, 2013 (HYANNIS) _ Cape Cod will mark Martin Luther King Jr. day with a commemoration ceremony Sunday afternoon in Hyannis.
The event – hosted by the Cape Cod Council of Churches – begins with a silent march at 2:45 p.m. from the Hyannis Village Green to the Federated Church.
The march will be followed by a service at 3 p.m., featuring reflections by the Reverend Irma Thibodeaux of New Bedford.
Thibodeaux served 2 years in Kenya as a small business advisor with the U.S. Peace Corps. She also served as a missionary in Zambia.
