Three arrested in CCCC snack shack fire
WEST BARNSTABLE
- On Monday at approximately 8:45 p.m., Barnstable Police Detectives responded to a suspicious fire call at the Cape Cod Community College. The snack bar/storage building had burned to the ground.

While enroute to the college, Det. Sgt. Mellyn and Det. York were notified that some suspicious persons were heard on the YMCA property, across the street from the Community College. As the two detectives approached a storage shed on the YMCA property they observed three subjects standing by the shed. One subject kicked the door in as the detectives were approaching. Det. Sgt. Mellyn and Det. York approached the three males and placed them under arrest for Breaking and Entering, Night Time with Intent to Commit a Felony. The 19-year-old suspects were identified as Barnstable residents Alexander Rosen-Schuh (left), John Dias (center) and Sean Ribeiro (right).

The suspects were wearing black gloves and had a ski mask with them; two of the suspects also had lighters. All three suspects were identified by the Cape Cod Community College security guard as being on college property prior to the fire.

K9 Officer Perry responded to the location of the YMCA.  He and his K9 partner, Arek, tracked from the location the suspects had been found breaking into the storage shed to the area of the building fire, in what is known as a reverse track.

All three suspects were transported the Barnstable Police Department Headquarters. Dias was charged with Burning a Building, two counts of B&E Night Time with Intent to Commit a Felony, and Possession of Burglarious Tools.  Rosen-Schuh was charged with Burning a Building, and two counts of B&E Night Time with Intent to Commit a Felony. Ribeiro was charged with B&E Night Time with Intent to Commit a Felony.

All three suspects were held overnight and arraigned at Barnstable District Court. Dias and Rosen-Schuh currently have pending criminal matters in Barnstable County and bail was set at $7500. Ribeiro was released on personal recognizance.
