SUV and minivan in near-head-on crash
DENNIS - An SUV and a cleaning company minivan were involved in a near-head-on collision shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Old Bass River Road and Old Chatham Road.
Firefighters extricated one person from the minivan. That person and the driver of the SUV were taken to Cape Cod Hospital by Dennis and Yarmouth ambulances with unknown injuries.
Northbound traffic on Old Bass River Road was detoured down Old Chatham Road while southbound traffic on Old Bass had to reverse direction until the scene was cleared.
The Dennis Police Department is investigating the crash.

Car vs box truck in Falmouth
FALMOUTH - A car and box truck collided in Falmouth sometime after 4 a.m. The crash happened on Waquoit Highway (Route 28) near the Mashpee Line. One person was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life. Two people were taken to Falmouth Hospital with unknown injuries. Falmouth Police are investigating the crash. Route 28 in the area was closed while Falmouth and Mashpee officials worked the scene.
