Person injured in equestrian accident
WEST BARNSTABLE
- A person was injured after reportedly falling off a horse. The incident happened on a trail at Sandy Neck around 5:15 p.m. EMTs reached the scene by 4-wheel drive vehicles and brought the victim to the ambulance for transport to Cape Cod Hospital.


Coast Guard rescues two missing people from Naushon Island
FALMOUTH - The Coast Guard rescued two missing men on Naushon Island near Gosnold, Mass., Monday at approximately 1 p.m.

Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England command center received an overdue notification from the owner’s girlfriend at approximately 2:30 a.m. Monday. The owner reported to his girlfriend on a cell phone that he and a passenger were disoriented.

The Coast Guard launched:
Air Station Cape Cod MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter
Station Menemsha 47-foot Motor Life Boat
Station Cape Cod Canal 45-foot Motor Life Boat
Station Woods Hole 41-foot Utility Boat and 25-foot Defender Class Boat
The men beached their 16-foot fishing boat on the island and awaited help.

The Station Woods Hole rescue crew located the missing men on Naushon Island with no reported injuries.
The two men were hoisted and transported to Air Station Cape Cod by the MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter. (click here for video of the rescue)

"We want to stress the importance of carrying the right equipment, filing a float plan and telling loved ones where you will be,” said Lt. Ruairi White, the command duty officer at Sector Southeastern New England Command Center. “They are fortunate to have a successful outcome without life jackets or marine radios; these are tools that maximize our search efforts.”

Car hits tree, rolls over in Mashpee

MASHPEE
- A driver escaped with only minor injuries after this crash in Mashpee Sunday evening. Shortly before 9 p.m., the car struck a tree and rolled on its side. The crash happened on Pimlico Pond Road near the Sandwich line. The driver was taken to Falmouth Hospital for evaluation. Mashpee Police  are investigating.

- Provincetown Police report five arrests for the past week. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On September 4th at 3:56 p.m. Ofc. Kevan Spoor arrested
Oscar Millan Reyes, 27, of Provincetown who was charged with
Operating under the influence of liquor
Operating negligenty to endanger
No license in possession

On September 5th at 7:14 p.m. Ofc. Michael Barone arrested
Frank J, Krkuc, 59, of Provincetown who was charged with
Warrant arrest

On September 6th at 10:24 p.m. Ofc. Kevan Spoor arrested
Marjorie E. Blackmon, 53, of Cumberland, RI who was charged with
Assault and battery (domestic)

On September 9th at 9:17 a.m. Sgt. Glenn Enos arrested
Dennis P. Saccoach, 38, of Mattapan, MA who was charged with
Warrant arrest (2 counts)

On September 10th at 10:35 a.m. Ofc. Andrew Coville arrested
Scott S. Murphy, 55, of Pembroke, MA who was charged with
Operating after license suspended
Warrant arrest

TRURO
- Truro Police report two arrests for the past week. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Operating negligently to endanger
Fail to stop or yield

Susan S. Macnab, 64, of Boston, MA who was charged with
Operating under the influence of liquor
