
FALMOUTH - A two vehicle crash on Davisville Road had three people checked by Falmouth Fire Rescue with all three declining treatment or transport. A Lincoln LS sedan driven by Nicole Casali, 27, of East Falmouthy reportedly pulled out of Shaker Lane into to the path of a Ford Escape SUV driven by Cheryl Degidio, 60, opf East Falmouth traveling north on Davisville Road. Falmouth PD were on scene investigating the cause of the crash and arrested Casali on charges of operating under the influence of liquor and operating negligently to endanger. Fortunately the crash came before "trick or treat" time and hopefully it will be the last of an evening when driver safety should be especially emphasized.

Victims of Falmouth crash identfied
FALMOUTH - The victims of the early Sunday morning horrific crash in Falmouth have been identified. Bryan Laughead, 38, of Falmouth and James Duffany, 28, of Mashpee were killed.Matthew Laughead, 21, was rushed to Falmouth Hospital and then tranferred to a Boston hospital. Police did not say who the driver was.
The vehicle the three were in went out of control and crashed into a tree and fence off Jones Road during the storm. Some of the victims were ejected.
The crash remains under investigation and has not officially been attributed to the storm.

Pedestrian struck near Mass Maritime Academy
BOURNE - A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a car in front of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday evening. The victim a MMA cadet identified as Richard Aylward, 20, of Hanover reportedly suffered head injuries. Rescuers called for a MedFlight helicopter to land at the MMA ballfield, which flew Aylward to Rhode Island Hospital. Bourne Police are investigating the incident. It was reported Aylward was skateboarding when he was struck by a pickup driven by Robert Joslin of Carver who was making a delivery in the area. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
Man dies in Sandwich crash

SANDWICH - A Foresdale man died in Sunday's crash on Snake Pond Road. Phillip Spofford, 89, of Forestdale may have suffered a medical condition causing his Dodge Ram pickup to collide head-on with a Toyota Tacoma Pickup driven by Germar Kelly, 51, of Forestdale. He was taken to a hospital with what were believed to be serious but non life-threatening injuries.
