September 11, 2012 (HYANNIS) _ The terrorist attacks of 9-11 will be marked in several locations around the Cape and Islands Tuesday.
In Falmouth – the fire department will host a memorial service at 8:30 a.m. and dedicate a piece of steel that came from the wreckage of the World Trade Center.
Hyannis firefighters will mark the anniversary at 10 a.m. -- also with a dedication of steel from New York City.
Cape Cod Academy hosts an interfaith service in Osterville at 7 p.m. – while St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Barnstable Village will hold a service at 4:15 p.m.
Falmouth Hospital hosts a ceremony honoring emergency services at 12:30 p.m. Nantucket Fire Department will remember the attacks at 9:55 a.m. with a bell tolling.
