August 16, 2011 (CAPE COD) Senator Scott Brown brought his jobs tour to the Cape and Islands yesterday.           

He began the day in West Tisbury at the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Commerce – then headed to the Woods Hole Oceangraphic Institute.           

Later in the day – Brown met with veterans at the Sandwich VFW. He says caring for the nation’s veterans with VA costs up by 130 percent is one of the biggest challenges we face.           

Brown also warned that the nation is in a financial emergency – and raising taxes would be a jobs killer.           

The Senator fielded several questions from vets about possible cuts to their services in light of the ongoing recession.
