July 21, 2011 (CAPE COD) The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for most of New England with temperatures between 95 and 100 degrees today and tomorrow.

The Cape and Islands are not currently in that watch area.

Combined with high humidity – it could feel like it's well over 100 degrees in some areas.

Experts advise people to drink a lot of water, avoid beverages containing alcohol or caffeine, wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and avoid strenuous outdoor activity.
