July 12, 2011 (DENNIS) State transportation officials will be in Dennis this week to discuss two major road projects in the planning stages.           

The so-called Swan Pond River projects will replace the Upper County Road bridge over the river and the Route 28 bridge.           

Thursday’s meeting will take place at 7 p-m at Dennis police headquarters. The Upper County Road segment will be done first and could begin by the fall of 2012. Vehicles would be diverted to Route 28 and 134 during the work.           

A temporary bridge will be construction along the Route 28 bridge during construction.
