June 7, 2012 (NANTUCKET) A Nantucket man is facing intent to murder charges following a late-night stabbing on the island.            

The unidentified victim was stabbed sometime after midnight at the Stop and Shop at 31 Sparks Avenue.            

Nantucket police say he was med-flighted to a Boston hospital with critical injuries.            

Michael Torres of Nantucket was arrested and charged with armed assault with intent to murder.            

Additional details surrounding the stabbing were not immediately available.
