June 22, 2012 (BOSTON) Fishermen trying to stay in business after an 80 percent cut in their yellowtail flounder catch get a hand from the northeast's scallop industry.
            
Regulators have voted to shift nearly half of the yellowtail catch allotted to the scallop fleet this year to fishermen who chase cod and other groundfish.
            
It amounts to a nearly 70 percent increase in the fishermen's yellowtail catch.
            
The yellowtail isn't a highly-sought fish. But fishermen can't exceed their catch limit, or they must stop fishing on all species.
