February 1, 2012 (BREWSTER) Six more dolphins have stranded on Cape Cod.
The International Fund for Animal Welfare says six dolphins began to strand in Brewster this morning at the end of Sea Pines Drive.
The latest activity brings the total number of dolphin strandings on Cape Cod this winter to 108.
IFAW’s manager of marine mammal rescue and research will brief members of congress Friday on the mass stranding, providing a firsthand account of the response here on cape cod.
Katie Moore will also discuss what scientists and researchers are learning from the strandings.
