December 7, 2011 (HYANNIS) The much-discussed – but never realized – exit 6 ½ off Route 6 in Barnstable may be up for discussion again.
Second Barnstable State Representative Demetrius Atsalis was named this week as the new vice-chairman of the committee on transportation.
He says the issue needs to be revisited.
Creating a new exit off Route 6 in between exits 6 and 7 and into Independence Park in Hyannis has been discussed off-and-on for many years.
Atsalis was previously the vice-chair of community development and small business.
